You’re pretty sure you have it all…

From the outside everything looks great: You spend your workday finishing projects, consoling your stressed out co-workers and responding to every email in your inbox. At home, dinner is always prepared, homework gets done and your kids are on time for their swim meet.
And yet, you are laying in bed at night wondering: how much longer can I keep this up?

Maybe something in your life has shifted. Maybe you’ve gone through a divorce, maybe you’ve changed jobs; any number of things can throw people off their game.

When that happens it can make you feel like everything is spinning out of control.

“If I’m so great, why does everything suck?”
If these things have begun to run through your mind, it's time for you to get some support.
-
I’m so overwhelmed. I can’t take this anymore. Something has got to give.
-
I’m so forgetful lately. I spend all my time looking for my keys and can't stay organized.
-
How did I get here? What did I do to deserve this?
-
Things aren’t changing, if anything, they are getting worse. I don’t know how much longer I can take this.

You need support
The pressure is mounting and things are beginning to crack. If something doesn’t change you could end up pushing yourself into a crisis.
And maybe you are already noticing some signs:
-
Do you feel tired all the time, get more headaches, carry your stress in your back or shoulders?
-
Have you stopped doing things you once loved like going to the gym and reading? Are you canceling plans with friends and family?
-
Are you slowly beginning to not recognize yourself anymore?
No one is meant to carry all of the burden all of the time.
You DO deserve support.
You DO deserve a break.
You DO deserve some help.
Most of all, you deserve to have a place where you can fall apart, be empowered, and find an easier way forward.

By the way, this doesn’t mean you are crazy. You are as powerful as you think you are, but that doesn’t mean you can take on everyone else’s problems forever. Nor does it mean that you can just ignore your own feelings forever. That is unsustainable.
I get it. You love your life! But you wish it wasn’t always SO HARD. And it doesn’t have to be.

Therapy is NOT a lifetime commitment
You are already very busy, and I understand that. That is why I specialize in short-term, solution-focused therapy. We will focus on what is happening in your life right now and things you can do to start feeling better. As we work together we will build up a toolbox of strategies that will work today and in the long run.
